Auditions

Thank you for your interest in becoming a singer in Resounding Harmony. The first rehearsal of the new year is scheduled for Sunday evening, August 15, 2010 at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church. Potential new singers will learn about auditions during the rehearsal.

New member auditions will be held Monday evening, August 16, 2010 at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church. Each singer must bring a prepared piece with accompaniment for an the accompanist provided at the auditions.

We are accepting approximately 20 new singers this season as our numbers are very near the maximum limit. Be aware that if you are not accepted into the singing membership this fall, we would love to have you join us in the 5th section, which is our volunteer arm.

We are a volunteer organization and a portion of the funds raised at all of our concerts benefits local organizations that help those in need. We do not charge dues to be a singer. We do however require each singer to pay for the music packet used for each concert - usually $25 . Each person is also encouraged to make a suggested tax-deductible donation to the chorus of at least $50.00 each concert session. This is a suggested donation. This allows us to support the ongoing costs involved in running an organization and donate a larger portion of the concert proceeds.
